- Mary Anne is affiliated with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
she is temporarily based in Nairobi, Kenya, but is headed to
the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) to work in
Bible translation. She graduated from Michigan Tech in 1988 in
mechanical engineering.

- Based in Saclepea, Liberia, John coordinates planning and
development for the United Liberia Inland Church, a denomination
of approximately 70 indigenous Liberian Churches (approximately
20,000 believers) established by Worldwide Evangelization Crusade
(WEC). Ruth overseas a medical clinic in Saclepea. John and Ruth
are native Liberian Christians. John received B.S. and M.S. degrees
from MTU in metallurgy and was involved at Evangel while a student
here.

- The Childs are both MTU grads and former local residents
and Evangel members. They had been directly involved in community
development work, providing consulting in forestry and agriculture
for the Tarahumara Indians in western Mexico. John now serves
as a development consultant to fellow missionaries to American
Indians throughout Mexico and the western U.S. Through this means
they aim to share the Good News and strengthen believers in this
rugged, mountainous, and semi-arid place in God's World. They
are associated with AmeriTribes Mission based in Flagstaff, AZ.

- The Fullers work under New Tribes Mission in West Britain,
an island of Papua, New Guinea where they live in a small village
called Gergering in the Lamogai Tribal region. There they are
involved in Bible translation, evangelism, church planting, education
and a medical clinic. Rory became a believer while at MTU. He
and Mary are MTU and Evangel alumni.

- Serving with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism
(ABWE), Larry is a physical therapist specializing in providing
artificial limbs, but is also involved in Bible translation,
training pastors, and discipleship. He and his wife Jane, an
R.N. who trains nurses, are based at Memorial Christian Hospital.
Larry became a follower of Christ while a student at MTU and
was involved in the church here.

- Hurshman, Tom and Mickey

- After over 18 years of ministry in the Paris area, the Hurshmans
moved to Moscow in 1993 where they worked with TEAM (The Evangelical
Alliance Mission). They are currently based in the Netherlands
where Tom serves as associate dean at Tyndale Seminary, training
pastors for European evangelical churches. Mickey has led Bible
studies and helps administer a school for children of U.S. missionaries.
Tom accepted Christ while a student at MTU. He and Mickey are
MTU alumni and were active members at Evangel as students.

- The Lampinens have served in various capacities in the Philippines
with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF). Currently their assignment
is to promote missions and mobilize Philippino believers' involvement
in missions. Dave is an MTU grad and Copper Country native.

- As missionaries with CBM in the late '60s, Pastor "Zwy"
and his first wife Jerry (who died of cancer in July 1993) were
instrumental in organizing and establishing Evangel Baptist Church,
procuring the land on which the church is located, and overseeing
the construction of the present building. He is officially retired.
Pastor Zwy married Helen Moose, a retired missionary in May 1995.
They are active in outreach ministry at a boy's correctional
school, a home for the elderly, and their local church.
