The name and theme we've given our building expansion is "The Rehoboth Project: Making Room for the Word to Flourish." We have chosen this theme because we identify with Isaac's situation in the Genesis 26 story of God providing him the space he needed in Palestine. When he was able to dig a well he could call his own, the Bible says he named it "Rehoboth," which means "room" and made the statement:
Rehoboth also has ties to our ministry history. Evangel was birthed out of a Christian rooming house and study ministry, formed in 1963, called Rehoboth House.
